Planning process

Uxbridge Road Tech Park will be brought forward through a planning application under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

The anticipated process is:

  • Developing the proposals – via environmental surveys, technical assessments, engineering studies and design work

  • Public consultation – local residents, businesses, community organisations, councils, statutory consultees and others can comment

  • Planning application – to be submitted to Buckinghamshire and Slough Councils, including plans and technical information needed to assess the development, such as environmental, transport, landscape, ecological, energy, carbon and economic evidence

  • Determination – the councils will assess the proposals against the development plan, national planning policy and other material considerations

  • Conditions – if planning permission is granted it would include binding conditions and legal obligations. These would secure commitments on, for instance, climate neutral operation, landscaping, biodiversity, transport and construction management
